Volkan DemirelVolkan Demirel, Turkey's number one goalkeeper will be out for next two matches of Euro 2008. This means Volkan will miss Turkey's quarterfinal match against Croatia next Friday.

This came after UEFA's disciplinary committee handed him a two-game ban for shoving Jan Koller off the ball late against Czech Republic. Volkan's behaviour in the field alomost cost Turkey against Czech Republic, given that Turkey had already used all their 3 substitutes and thus had to compete the match with a filed player in goal.

Assuming that Turkey win against Croatia on Friday, Volkan will still miss the semifinal against the winner of Germany and Portugal.

35-year-old Rüştü Reçber will play against Croatia on Friday.

I simply like Rüştü Reçber..he is a superb goalkeeper..seen him in World Cup 2002.

Good Luck Rüştü.
