BRAZIL'S SOCCER SQUAD FOR BEIJING OLYMPICS : HERNANES INCLUDED

Anderson, Lucas, Hernanes and Jo have all been selected by Dunga in his 18-man Brazil squad for the Beijing Olympics. Anderson plays for Manchester United, Lucas for Liverpool, Hernanes for Sao Paulo and Jo for Manchester City

Real Madrid's Robinho and Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho are also included in the Brazil squad.

AC Milan's Kaka has been left out as AC Milan has made it clear that they would not release him for Beijing Olympics.


Brazil kick off their Olympic campaign against Belgium on 7th August, before also facing hosts China and New Zealand in Group C.

Kaka - "I hope to return to the practice field in 15 days."

Brazilian star, Kaka is recovering from an arthroscopic surgery he had at the end of May. His intensive physical therapy in Sao Paulo is paying off and the player is anxious to get back.

"I have been in Sao Paulo for the last month working hard on myphysical therapy at the Reffis center," he said.

"The professional treatment that I am receiving is excellent and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them publicly. With their help, I hope to return to the practice field in 15 days."

Sau Paulo's Hernanes Replaces Kaka In Brazil Squad

Sau Paulo midfielder Hernanes will replace AC Milan's Kaka for Brazil's upcoming fixtures. Kaka is currently recovering from a surgery, which he had undergone on his left knee last month. Brazil's team doctor Jose Luiz Runco reported.

Hernanes has impressed coach Dunga after he returned to Sau Paulo from Santo Andre. The 23 year old midfielder is thrilled to be part of Brazil's national team.


Hernanes will join the squad in Boston ahead of Brazil's friendly against Venezuela at the Foxborough Staduim on Friday.
